Adulthood

So this is what its like to be an adult, ..or so it would seem. So much has occurred in the last 5 months..I graduated, am applying to med school, received my blue belt in Ju jitsu, made new friends, got 2 new jobs as a model for painting, both nude and non-nude,learned what my personality type has been for quite some time, began a new relation ship only to come to the realization that dating someone who is bi can be difficult, and smoked pot for the first time. A list of events smeared on the canvas of life, to make a portrait of what was, to try and make an askew mental image of what might be. But over all, i am blessed. I am healthy and happy. Oh..and i went rafting too, it was uber wanderbar!

lol, yes guitar hero rules as well as smash bros...my reasearch is going well, I just completed 2 Mn compounds that I need to run a infrared spectrum on...my life? as if i have a life outside of school work, lol...its good...kind of hoping for a bf, but I dunno if things are working that way....How about you?

What are your 2MN compounds? the life of a scientest......well, none! science doesnt sleep , and sometimes neither do you. i havent got to play the new smash bros. yet, but i want to play as solid snake. through the fire and flames has got to be my favorite song for stress relife. My reaserch is giong ok, mainly just growing mutant yeast, though none of them can fly yet, go figure. learning a lot in medicinal chemistry, sorry to use the "C" word. Life, is well, complicated, but i would expect nothing else. I hope you get one if you really want on, though when life is busy, it can be hard. but it is nice to be able to spend time hanging out with someone you like. anyone in your classes or school thats peaked your intrest?

the compounds are just Mn binding to a ligand I made (hopefully, *crosses fingers*)...lol mutant yeast RAWR!! Solid snake is is so awsome to play with (at least I think so ;) ), you have to find someone with that game and play! And, umm...I kind of like someone, why are you wondering, are you avaliable? ...lol, that wasn't meant to sound creepy (you don't have to answer if you don't want to) :D

dont worry about it. didnt sound creepy, unless of course youre really a 70 year old man, then id be a bit creeped out lol. no but really, i was just wondering becaus we go through life and one day look back at the what if's, but we really should live in the moment. who ever it is that you like, dont hesitate to tell them you like them, because the worst you wil here is no. and belive me, that's really, in the grand scheem of things, not so bad. me, well i am single now( am avaliable), had a relationship, well, that abruptly ended, kind of both of our idea. the mutant yeast are a part of our"directed evolution'", we are trying to get them to make a certain enzymes that are thermo stable at human body temp. but they havent RAWR'ed......yet.:) i have a freind who has super smash bros., i'll play later this week. I just happen to be a video game fanatic, but i especially, the metal gear series. but im basically a neard who likes to run and swim a lot. how bout you?

I would like to do something with stem cells or genetics (the possibilities of gene therapy intrigue me) and I'm majoring in biochemistry/molecular biology and Drake is in Des Moines, IA (I only came here because they seemed to have good research opportunities...I don't like Iowa)...yeah, I've always wanted to go to Japan someday...hope your classes get better! ^_^

Good for you! It seems nowdays people have a misconception of what stem cells are and their potential, the public is overwelmingly ignorant on the subject. And to be able( i dont know if you've taken cell bio or biochem yet) see all of the small pieces that make up the human body and work so integrly together is amazing. sorry , im just a huge nerd. Reaserch opertunites are great when you can get them, have you been able to get into a lab or with a reaserch project yet?
